Melanotan-1 (Ac-Ser-Tyr-Ser-Nle-Glu-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Gly-Lys-Pro-Val-NH₂) is a super-potent, photostable analog of α-MSH that binds the melanocortin-1 receptor (MC1R) with nanomolar affinity.
